Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro welcomes Jeffrey Ryman as our new artistic director! He is well known in the Waynesboro community for his award-winning direction of the Waynesboro High School Choral Department, his participation in local theatre and community events, and his leadership of the choir of Covenant Presbyterian Church (Staunton).
Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro is a choral ensemble of approximately 55 singers who are selected by audition and drawn from Waynesboro and surrounding cities and counties. The ensemble's repertory is selected from significant and major works from the Renaissance through the 21st century, including American composers and ethnic-inspired compositions. Through its performances, Schola Cantorum strives to promote the art of choral singing and to provide a compelling experience for devotées of choral music. Moreover, Schola Cantorum encourages and supports aspiring and talented school musicians through collaborations, occasional workshops, and scholarships to college-bound high school seniors.
